Join us in person to support the Black Lives Matter racial justice movement. This month we celebrate Charles Hannah and Michelle Lewis of Third Eye Bag, a 100% Black-owned and operated bookstore based in Portland. Operating online-only since COVID-19, this event will give them a chance to sell books which they see “as a tool to motivate, inspire, restore or enhance a person’s cultural pride and to bring forth happiness and healing.” Browse works by Black writers, poets, Anti-Racist resources, etc. at this parking lot pop-up!

We’ll also have Black Lives Matter sign-making stations with full supplies, and a letterpress to pull your own print with Daniela del Mar of letra chueca press. Lonchería Los Mayas, the delicious Mexican food cart in the parking lot, will be open for special hours during this event.

Please commit to this personal pledge if you are interested in joining: “I am committed to continuing the work of fighting for racial justice beyond the boundaries of this event.”

We are looking for volunteers for this event! Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in volunteering day-of either with set-up, during the event, or for clean-up.
